We partner with passionate tea growers and processors to ensure the journey from leaf to final product delivers the highest quality experience.
Sorting and Grading
After drying, the tea leaves are sorted and graded based on factors like size, color, and quality. This ensures consistent flavor and appearance within a particular tea grade. Sifting machines or manual sorting is used for this purpose.
Flavoring and Blending
Some teas get a flavor boost! Fruits, flowers, or spices are added after drying, either through blending with flavored leaves or spraying with natural oils. Different teas can also be mixed to create unique flavor profiles - a common practice for many store-bought blends!
Packaging
Our transparent and open investment process ensures you always know where you are in our process. Loose leaf tea is packaged in various ways, depending on the target market and desired presentation. Options include: bulk packaging, tins, pouches and tea bags.
Final Touches
Once packaged, the tea undergoes final checks for quality and weight. Labels are applied with information about the tea type, origin, grade, brewing instructions, and any necessary expiration dates.
